I was recently a Masters' student at a Canadian University and spent two years researching cognitive science, facial expression and caricature. I worked with my actor /sister to produce Facial Action Coding System re-interpreted photographs to use in my illustration work that was portraiture based. My thesis advisor called Paul Ekman a pseudo-scientist and my work with my sister "snaps from a dysfunctional family dinner party".
